What families should know about central line protection

A central line is a lifeline — and protecting it is part of daily care. Exposed tubing invites snags, tugs, and contamination, especially with active toddlers who do not understand why they must leave the line alone.
Small habits that protect access
Keep tubing secured and out of sight, inspect the site daily, and build a predictable routine around dressing and cleaning. Garments designed for infusion access can hold the line close to the body so it is far less likely to be pulled.
When daily care is less stressful, families have more room to simply be families. That is the outcome we design for.
